うさぎの耳を持つ人物像や動物としては正しくない形のうさぎという架空の生物に確かな存在感を与え、鑑賞者との間に出会いや関係性を生み出すことで鑑賞者の心の奥深いところを刺激し、その人にしか見えない景色や物語、感情や思いを想起させたい。多様な捉え方を望むため動きや感情を極力抑えて作るが、確かな意思を持たせたい。

I mainly create imaginary creatures, such a ﬁgures with rabbit ears, and statues of rabbits that are not properly shaped as animals. These ﬁgures, which have a deﬁnite presence, create an encounter or relationship between the viewer and these creatures. It stimulates the deepest part of the viewerʼs mind, evoking scenes, stories, emotions, and thoughts that only the viewer can see. I make artworks with minimal movement and emotion because I hope you to perceive them in a variety of ways, but the statues have a deﬁnite will.
